About us ...
CFUW Peterborough is a part of a larger national organization that was founded in 1919.  We are an independent, non-partisan group of women that works locally, provincially, nationally, and internationally to promote human rights and advocate for appropriate social policy.

The primary goals of our organization are:
CFUW Peterborough is a relatively small but dynamic group.  We represent a diversity of like-minded women.  From September to May, we meet on the fourth Thursday of the month for a general meeting featuring an informative speaker. We provide opportunities to socialize, network, participate in life-long learning and engage in thought provoking discussions.  In addition, our interest groups meet throughout the month and allow members to explore their many interests.

Crafting for a Cause!

At our November meeting, the Advocacy and N'Stitches groups collected tocques, mitts, scarves, sweaters, and socks.  Many of these were hand-knit or crocheted by our talented members.  All of the items were delivered on Giving Tuesday to YES - Peterborough's Youth Emergency Shelter.

Many thanks to our membership for their support of this project!
